Out of the caldron of the 60s came Hicks’ Los Angeles Newsreel documentary about the Los Angeles Black Panther Party and a call for world revolution.
In the years following “Repression,” Hicks produced an array of media illuminating the advantages of racial integration in the schools and fostering positive racial and sexual identities.
